KEY-POS works with United EDI (Electronic Data Interchange). Having these direct communications with United Hardware gives all of our United Dealers a huge advantage. This gives you full access to all catalog updates, invoice downloads, and even purchase order uploads. Not only can you allow the KEY-POS retail management system to make suggested orders for you, but you can then edit and send them to United as a purchase order. After you receive your freight from United, you will then be able to scan and receive your inventory against the purchase order and the United invoice with all of the price updates.
KEY-POS also protects your inventory from unwanted catalog updates by allowing you to filter what you do and do not want from the catalog, such as descriptions or retail price changes. The KEY-POS system handles this by putting all catalogs in a separate folder, away from your inventory, allowing you to load as many catalogs as you see fit for your store – without cluttering your inventory with items you do not sell.
Considering United Hardware is merging with Do It Best, many of our customers are concerned about items ordered out of both warehouses. Here at DBMS Inc., we can provide inventory conversions through our SKU match and cross-index process for those who wish to convert to Do It Best. The KEY-POS system also supports multiple vendors, allowing our customers to have both distributors’ SKUs on the same items during the transition to Do It Best.
